The BBQ at home that Friday may have been my favorite day out of the weekend. I'm so much like dad when it comes to wanting everyone together all the time so it was a huge birthday gift to me to have us under one roof together. Past and present, family and friends:
I still think about that cake and I'm not even kidding.
How strange is it that Amanda was living in Atlanta then. I remember thinking it was just wild that she was standing there in our house, not as a visitor, but as someone actually living in Georgia. Sorry, random side note.
I still feel sad that we weren't as close during my time in Atlanta. I would've loved to go out on the town together and to experience more of the night life but I think that was why I had even more fun down in the Highlands during my birthday weekend. I finally had a chance to go out ATL style with you (once we finally finished driving all over creation to get to Amanda's)! It's really strange to think about how much we've lost touch with Gabe after he hosted such a fun party for me but, you know what? That's just how life goes. Anywho... The party really was great and, much like the previous evening at our house, I kept looking around the room at all of the people that are so dear to me together in one room and it was just awesome:
Awww:

Annnnnd, the best part:
I wonder if I'll ever get my painting back.
Seriously though, what a special weekend. Even if I did always plan to do something insane like go to Australia for my 30th, absolutely nothing beats being with my favorite people in the world to celebrate. Thank you for helping to make that birthday one of the best I'll ever have!
