Rachel In New York

I feel the need to start this post with the obvious:

Onward. Rachel in New York. For ten days. Ten whole days. Coming off that trip was like needing to detox in a sense, but it really was quite special to spend that time together. We both knew Rachel needed a break and the fact that she chose to come visit us really is priceless. We won't ever have that time together again and I'm grateful she was here. There's no denying the excitement that came with her arrival, honestly:

Sometimes, I wish I still smoked just so I could have her send those boxes o' love our way again. I cannot believe she brought all of those with her...

It feels amazing doing things for people in their time of need. I ended up having such a blast overall with her here, exhausting or not, and knowing that she could breathe and be away for a bit really makes it that much better. Being out on the town a few nights was just so much fun. Can you believe that's when we met Jon Kwon?! Crashing ladies night and all. Good thing he wore his pink shirt:

When all was said and done, it was a very memorable visit. I'm glad we opened our home to Rachel and I do cherish the time the three of us had together. Yet another truly valued memory made!
